Actually Messrs is Plural of Mister (Mr.), so where more then one person involved, we can use this term.
However, a firm and a company has more then 1 person so we can use this term for those but we should not use this for a proprietorship concern.

Ya sure we can use but company itself normally should not use 'M/s.', like Mentors of Reliance Industries Limited will not add suffix 'M/s' before the name of Reliance Industries Limited.
