It is not the issue of vast portion, even CS are responsible for several legal compliances , I don't know ICAI logic behind 3 years articalship but ICSI 's dec regarding 15 months management training is correct as within 15months we get the idea about all annual statutory routine compaliances as it covers period between two AGM in which student can actully handel all quarterly compliances along with AGM preparation .

Be very cautious while making adverse comment about a reputed profession. Who are you to decide that CA Course is much vast than CS? I can give million of examples in different areas ( specially in securities market- both primary and secondary market, Corporate Governance, Corporate Laws e.t.c) where CS has vast coverage and CA has NIL coverage. similarly in some areas CA has vast coverage( finance related subjects) and CS has less coverage. Both the courses are equally good in their respective fields and any derogatory comment like yours should be strongly condemned by the members of both the Institutes.

Really 3.5 year training is too much for a CA student. I have seen many student are doing dummy articleship...
As far as area is concerned both the courses have their own coverage. I would suggest don't compare them with each other.
To Mr. Cool,
