Though I agree both are very good faculties and it is always tricky to make such comparison. Instead of giving a judgement, I will base my answer on facts:
1. MI Sir teaches in smaller batch size. Sampath Sir has huge batch size wherein you never get any direct attention of Sir.
2. MI Sir keeps walking and teaching because he observes every note book to see what they have done or understood. He immediately catches if anyone is not able to follow or understand by just looking at their face since he maintains that contact. For Sampath Sir it becomes difficult for the sheer size of the class. Most of the time, he is at the podium near the board only.
3. MI Sir does not let people copy the question. His classes takes time but he will explain the depth and every small but critical points in the question. He will let you solve the question in class. He will solve it on the board only if a student has not been able to follow. Sampth Sir solves all the questions on the board. Most students don't put effort to understand and simply copies from the board.
4. MI Sir solves very critical questions. He has a method called M. I. T. E. Method, which means MI Trial and Error Method. Lolz. Under this strategy, he will first allow you a mistake which you more often than not do in exam . Then he will help understand your mistake so that you don't repeat . Remember, only when you have fallen, do you know the pain. Such practices are seldom seen in Sampath Sir's classes.
5. MI Sir's classes are very concept driven. He attacks the concepts and relates it to something that we already know. For example. when he taught contract costing, he just said to think about a trading account. Now closing stock and sales are common things and we quite know their valuation. MI Sir made closing stock as "Work Uncertified" and Sales as "Work Certified". Now we don't have to confuse with their valuation since we know Stock is always at Cost and Sales at Selling Price. We also know both are credit in Trading Account, therefore, credit in Contract Account also.
He teaches 100s of such tricks that you will find it hard to forget. On the other hand, Sampath Sir's class is more about solving more and more questions. Concepts are never taken to its depth.
6. Lastly the humour of MI Sir is crazy. He will catch your attention and hold it like mad for the next three hours. You will be lost inside the subject for the time you are sitting in his class. He has amazing English diction, well qualified with huge practical experience, which he connects to the Costing subject. Sampath Sir has no practical experience since he has been into teaching from the very beginning.
Though I have affection for both Sampath Sir and MI Sir, but I think these are the points where MI Sir is much ahead of almost all the faculties in Bangalore.
The major reason I think is the Passion. MI Sir teaches less batches and he always remains passionate about the class.

Undoubtedly MI Sir. And anyone who says Sampth Sir has just not attended MI Sir's Classes ever.
Just attend once, you will learn for the first time, the real costing concepts.

MI Sir Definitely. Others are just coaching institutes. He is the only faculty who is known by his name.
