IAS is much tougher than not only CA but also than many other tougher exams like IIT in India. CA is just a degree course in which you should hold a range of information. But IAS requires holding of huge range of information, knowledge of all fields like science, commerce, finance, management, administration, governance, constitution, political science, international relations, ethics, etc upto 18 subjects with static and dynamic section. Even mastering on these subjects there is only 50 % chances of getting through the examination. Because the next phase is to attain the wisdom covering all these knowledge under the sun. Even then students have only 75 % chances of getting through this exam because we are required to develop an attitude, neutral or rational judgement and a positive mindset so that we can perform administration over lacks of people comprises tax payers, businessmen doctors, engineers, CAs, CSs, entire police department, SDMs, Entire local self government at village, block and district level, representing India at International level like in World bank, IMF, SAARC, United Nations. After completing these rounds of learning a student only has 90% chance to go through it Bcz its a competitive exam. But at the end our success does not depends on toughness of examination but it depends on how well we are applying our knowledge for the development of our nation, society and humanity as a whole. So, at last CA and IAS both have equal chances to achieve greater heights of success. I envisage- Once, CA become an IAS than both IAS and CA being a single person can contribute more and can succeed more for the development of India and himself as well in tandem.
