which ITR should i file when my income is from salary is below 50lakhs and also have IFOS ₹40000?

ITR-1 is applicable in that case.

You have to file your return online only after logging into income tax portal.

but now im registered on the site & not filed ITR yet... so now is it mandatory to file it after registration?

ITR-1

It's not mandatory to file return after registration.

But if you filed it after July then a penalty upto rs. 5000 levied....
