Which ITR to file for an Individual having income from Salary, House Property, Short term Capital Gains (investnent in shares), LTCG u/s 10 (38), Other sources. No Business PGBP income. ITR 1 Sahaj n.a. because of Capital gains & both ITR 2 & ITR 3 n.a. because no business income.

But ITR 2 is for partnership business. And here there is no business.

Mr. Samir has rightly suggested ITR 2 as per your inputs.
ITR 2 is the best option with Schedule CG........ otherwise ITR 3 is only there.
The additional schedules/pages which are not as per your requirement, can be left blank......... not mandatory to fill each and every page.

But Sir, ITR 2 has mandatory fields regarding Name of Firm , PAN of Firm & ITR 3 has mandatory field of Nature of Business. Since , there is no business in this case,will ITR 2 or ITR 3 be validated & generate XML ?

@ Amol ITR-2 is for indivudual or HUF not carrying any business or profession under proprietorship
ITR-2 is the correct form
