Think before you start. CA is a good option but not as lucrative as propagated by ICAI (at least for the time being). See posting of the Chartered Accountants in this forum and also discuss with the fresh Chartered Accountants. Many have not got any job after qualifying. CS is also having almost same footing as CA (though in job they are slidely better poised than their CA counter part as the demand supply gap is still there). ICWA is a great course but has been deprived by Govt. for long ( courtesy ICAI lobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). But now it seems that they have started getting new recognitions.
All the courses are good and it is on your personal preference and area of interest (because you can not compare apple with orrange). If you have patience and faith on your profession you will get equall success by doing any course. The ways are different but the destination is same.

prodyut is absolutely right
just from the last year there is larger demand for cwa's as compared to ca in campus placements
ca's are not placed for high salary now a days and olny 10percent are placed out of total candidates appeared
just 3 lacs is the average package( u can ask all those who have just been placed)
while cwa placements's average package is now a days 4.5 lacs to 6 lacs
well iam pursuing both but i feel at the end of 2010 CA profession will be back to its recognition of getting higher packages in campus( 8.5 lacs average at start of 2008)

The highest pay packet recd by 2-3 people doesnt represent the entire population of fresh CAs....so no use highlighting the Highest Package. Look at the Avg Salary recd by all the new Passouts...
