Whether to continue CA or not.

To rise above certain level u need a professional degree. and who says working people cannot complete CS or CA. There are ways of doing things, go out and find them. But atleast dont drop your studies.

Yes, it would be deep enough in your case but returns will also be very high.

Thrs no way u r going to 2.5 lacs per month without any professional degree.Choice is up to you.

Mr.Struggler, this is the best piece of solution which i can offer you. Since u said u are already working, you finish ur CS final this december. Don't worry about articleship cos in CS u can show ur work experience in the industry as articleship experience and get exemption. After finishing CS, u try for CWA, reason being since u have been working in inventory accounting, the subjects of CWA would be useful for u for gaining a boost in ur current line of career. Also , in CWA also you can get exemption from articleship on basis of your work experience and also 40% of the papers of CWA, u can claim exemption after finishing CS final. and once you qualify CWA finals, u can apply for direct membership with CMA(US) and also get a big exemption with CIMA(UK) which will help u even in getting overseas jobs and can go on to make u a management consultant. If u do CA, again u have to do mandatory articleship for 3 years and stipend will be peanuts mostly which wont be sufficient for you to support yourself and your studies apart from supporting your family. Regarding job opportunities, the above four courses combined together will give you more opportunities than what CA degree on its own will give and all the above four courses will take less time as compared to CA course to complete.  And since, u have said that u need to earn also, doing CA is not prudent at this time. however, since u said ur wife has cleared her IPCC, u can ask her to do artilceship in a small firm with flexible timings for articleship as well as where she can take maximum leave even if the stipend is less and ask her to complete CA. My option for you is

1st. STUDY & WORK HARD SINCIERLY COMPLETE 1ST GROUP IPCC GET ATC Certificate...and based on position like time,marrige life..etc you can continue CA..

but you must complete CS final then you are a qyalified CS completly....

so first concentrate on IPCC 1st group & CS final.... later you can go based on situationss .....if you really like this or not.....

Thats what i said, if you want to move from 2.5 lacs p.a. to 2.5 lacs p.m. you essentially need a credible professional degree.

Thanks a lot all of you for giving your valuable suggestions.

What I have understood that everyone is in support of completing any of the professional degree and not to stick to the current work profile.

I have at least got confirmations from all of you to go for finance field and once this is clear in my mind I will be able to concentrate more and work hard.

Now, this November I can appeare for IPCC or in Dec I can appeare for CS final, What do you think whether 1) I should appear for IPCC group 1 only. 2) I should appear for IPCC group 1 and CS Final 2 groups
