Whether religious trust or temple is liable to tax

Hi All....

There is a religious temple which has not obtained a PAN and also they own a school, for which they have obtained a PAN. They had got nearly 40Lakh rupees contribution for a event and they have also utilized it.

Now should they file Income tax return & How???

I guess that, the temple is not register under under sector-12 A of the income tax act.

 

First you have to get register for the same for  claim exemption.

its not registred u/s 12A of income Tax Act.

1. Now we can apply for registration................... ?

2. How can treat past Income earned .............. ?

3. in which status assessee is liabile to pay Tax, if he is liabile.............?
