I want to know whether filing of TDS returns (electronically) has been made mandatory for the firms for the quarter ending June 2006 ? Whether any circular/notification is available about the same ?

No. Not as yet. It remains mandatory for only Govertnment & Corporate deductors. Firms have option to file so.
