We have recived CT1 from our customer in the meanwhile our company name has changed and ct1 is having the old name. Kindly advise me as whether the new name is to be amended in the CT1 also please provide the necessary circular/notifcation if any evidencing the above

change of company is reflected in excise department and necessary amendmends has been made? then visit your R/O and ask him to allow the said CT1 in previous name,
if PAN is not changed then registration is same, and he may allow the CT1 in old name, but if PAN is changed then registration is changed, and you have to ask customer to cancell the CT1 and issue a new one in new name and registration.
At the time of placing the order your company name is not changed i believe and hence based on that the CT1 will have to be allowed. As indicated by mr u.s sharma, Change of name should be made in PAN card and i think the Department will consider old name in the CT1 as you have a valid PAN based Excise registration in the previous name.
