i have received some goods on 6 april 2018 from interstate..... while the invoice date is 31st march 2018.... When to take Gst input... in march or in april??

You can take credit in March 2018 Month GSTR-3B,
Also, if in case you forget you to take ITC, then you can take such ITC till 180 Days from the Date of Invoice.

If You are received goods on April then You can avail the ITC benefits of April 2018...
You can't avail the ITC benefits in March 2018.
ITC not available without receiving materials and Invoices...

ITC available only in April 2018. Pre-condition to claim credit is 'receipt of goods or services'.

but i heared that we can take input only when we received goods and in this case if we received goods in April then we have to take input in April not in March
