21 August 2009i have 22nd edition of v s datey which is having amendments till 31st october. I have 2 questions: 1. where I can find amendments/notification/latest case laws till 30th april which will be applicable for november 09?? AND 2. whether datey is good book for ca final or shud i arrange a diffrent book or notes or something else for my indirect tax paper??

Hai,
Dateys Book is Good.But it is vast.Covering portions remains an Unanswered question from Examinations point of View.It will be good to Get Aadhyas , Indirect taxes Book for C.A final By Yogendra Bhangar.Its so easy and in Question and Answer Format, with Precise answers and solved answers for the past 10 years. Now this book available for Nov 2009 examination. If u want to verify go Thru This website www.Aadhyas.com

for prepartion for CA u may take concise notes for amendments and refer your book too..

AFTER APPLYING AND FILLING UP THE EXAMINATION FORM, THE INSTITUTE SENDS BY POST THE REVISION TEST PAPERS WHICH CAN GIVE UPDATES FOR THE RELEVANT EXAMS..........
aS FOR ANY BOOK, AS Ramya said, v s datey is truely a very vast book, and holds a lot of material, which may not be relevant for hte exams,.... u can try the book of any coaching tutor.. like ajay jain or Deepak Gupta...

You can read RTP of Nov-2010_Old_Syllabus for relevant changes up to 30th april 2010.
New syllabus RTP not came till the date but for excise custome and service tax there may not be any change in New syllabys RTP and Old syllabus RTP).
You refere any book but also refer Dippak gupta summary.
