Most new age brokers like blinkX today allow you to open a demat account online since the process to open demat account online is quick and simple. So, generally, all you have to do is some research before settling on a broker and opening a demat account with them. These are a few parameters on which you can evaluate the stockbroker.
Check broker’s licence - ensure that your broker is a licenced broker registered with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India)
Fees and charges -check for things like how much they charge to open a demat account and how much they charge for things like intraday trading.
App/trading platform design/interface - look at images of their trading face interface and see if it’s easy to understand.
Features and benefits - find out what are the features they offer; is a plus if they offer services like research reports.
You should be able to find all this information easily online, however, if you are unable to find something you can reach out to the broker.
