I just wanna know that in Form 26AS

What is the Meaning of "Status of Booking (P/F/U) @ "

1) P - P stands for Provisional : Applicable to Govt Deductors only. Provisional tax credit is effected on the basis of TDS/TCS statements filed. On verification of the pyt details by the Pay & Accounts Officer, status will then changed to Final (F).

2) F - F stands for Final : In case of Non-Govt deductors, pyt details of TDS/TCS deposited in bank by the deductor have matched with pyt details mentioned in the TDS/TCS statements filed by the deductor.

3) U - U stands for Unmatched : Deductors have not deposited the taxes or have furnished incorrect particulars of tax payment. Final credit will be reflected only when the pyt details in the bank match with the details of deposit in the TDS/TCS statement.
