Suppose if you dont have a GST registration then -
1. You cannot collect GST from customers or claim GST input for purchases made.
2. The GST registered person prefers to buy from a GST registred dealer only and not from URD because he cant claim ITC if he purchases from URD.
3. Tranperancy in the business is less. Since you are not a registered person there is high chances of misrepresentation of income.
If you are a registered dealer then -
1. You can collect GST from customers and set off the liability with the purchases and balance need to be paid to government. You are not paying anything from your pocket.
2. Sales comparably may increase bacuase customer prefers to buy from GST dealer rather than a URD.
3. Since you need to file your returns on a monthly basis, you are under an impression to show correct sale and purchases in the returns and hence there is less chances of tax evasion possible.
Here URD means Unregistered Dealer. If you have not understood any one of the above points. Please let me know I'll try to explain in more simple words.
