For Opening a Foreign L/C you need to have the following information :
Name of the Exporter and / or Beneficiary
Bankers Name and Address and Bank code number
Port of Lading
Proforma Invoice
Margin Money provisions
Period of L/C
Nature of L/c at sight, irrevocable , continuing etc.
Expected date of shipment
Expected date of arrival of Imported Goods
CIF/FOB value of goods
Insurance details
Shipment details and freight
