20 August 2011i cleared CPT back in 2009 ...but,i didnt prepared bbecoz of b.com(h).......and didnt taook any attempt since then..now am prepring for may 2012 attempt for group 1...and i wanna know that whether it will be considered as first attempt or fourth attempt bcoz,i haven't given any attempt since then.....please reply :)

There is no such official definition but institute regard filing of an exam form as intention to appear in exam and thus making an attempt. In any case do not get into egoistical use of the term attempt. It does not matter whether you passed in first second or tenth, the more important thing is whether at the end of the day you can put CA as prefix to your name.

Attempts means how many times u appeared for particular level(appearance doesnt mean only physical one, if u filled the exam form i.e. got ur roll no. and skipped it then it will also be an attempt)
