Hi Dhaval
SAP is one of the many ERP packages available which integrates various financial & non-financial data and information to provide various reports which helps in meeting the financial reporting, plannning, control and decision making needs.
The few 'FUNCTIONAL' modules under SAP are : -
1) FI (Financial Module)
2) MM (Material Management)
3) SD (Sales & Distribution)
4) HRM (Human Resources)
5) PP (Production Planning)
6) PM (Plant Management)
7) CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
8) CO (Controlling module)
9) BI ( Business Intelligence)
10) QM (Quality Management)
Also, it offers interface capability with other programs. Like all ERP, SAP helps you to improve opertional efficiency by providing better planning and controlling tools. Ease of working on it and its compatibility with MS Office has made SAP quite popular in recent times.
For more, please google out internet and do visit the company's website as it will help you to see the macro level picture of what SAP is and what it can offer.
Happy learning :)

Yes, SAP is very useful for CA Student because there are many corporate groups using SAP Software. The reports generated by SAP is reliable at the time of Audit. There is no chance of error in its report. When you prepare Form No.501 for VAt Refund & Form No.704 for VAT Audit, you require the details. It is very easy to get details from SAP for that.
