Dear Sharvan,
Thanks for the response, though I was looking more from a Students perspective. Anyway, since you have mentioned, I beg to disagree with you. Though , I am not privy to any data about oversupply or under supply of CA's in the market, I think its irrelevant. Being successful in career is altogether a different ball game. Its not just about your qualification.I am experienced enough to know that your degree isnt relevant after sometime and thats the way it should be as well. Let me explain:
Think about a corporate whose existence in the real world has sole purpose of "making profit". Nothing wrong with that. If the company provides amazing value to the customer , making profit is just incidental. Company only hires anyone( whether you have a degree or not) for a certain value and possible problem it wants to plug. The Salary you get is directly propotional to the value you provide, nothing else matters. Its the same with IIT, IIM or whatever school you come from. The degree only allows you to be a certain zone ( among other competitors) after that rules are same for everyone ( whether you are a CA, or IIM or for that matter IIT'an). I am aware about the news in the market that how IIT'ans and IIM gets paid highly and not CA's. I have an opinion on that part as well , but I guess i will defer it for another time and platform.
In short, you want to get a high salary package , you only have to do one thing. Perform and Outperform, nothing else matters.
anyway, that is my humble opinion.
But If i can ask, why do you feel this way ?
