What is form F and form C used for

Dear All,

I am working as a consultant in SAP SD module, Now when enter into Excise and Sale tax part, i come across Form C and Form F frequently, i know that Form C is form redice excise duty and Form F for Stock Transfer.

I exactly what to know about these Forms and how can this be used in Sales from Manufacturing company.

FORMF-F USED FOR STOCK/BRANCH TRANSFER AND FORM -C USED FOR INTER STATE SALES.

Form F is for Stock Transfer

Form C for interstate Sales (CST against Form C is 2%).

Hello Praveen

If you are transfering any goods to your Branch Unit Or Warehouse, you will have transfer those goods against FORM F (Stock or Branch Transfer).
This is usefull to prove the sales tax depart. that it is just a branch transfer and not actual sale.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you sale any goods another than the local state (Say goods sold from Maharashtra to AP or any other state) then it is called as inter state sale.
And in case of inter sale CST (Central sales tax) will be applicable.
Here the Purchaser will have to give FORM C to the seller. so that seller can charge CST @ 2% on bill.
If the purchaser unable to give FORM C the seller will have to charge the local sales taxs or VAT in his bill.

C form in used for inter-state purchase as concessional rates i.e. 2 % . you have to pay 2% tax with C form to buyer. Local tax rates are higher around 12 % its depend on state.

What should be the value that should be declared in Form F for stock transfer from HO to branches? Is it cost of goods sold for manufacturing and landed purchase cost for trading goods or simply the invoice value that is collected from the customer?
