DIR-8 is intimation by the director to the company about his disqualification as a director, if any.
In DIR-8, Director confirms whether he has been disqualified or not
It is an intimation by a director to the BOD, in which he holds/held directorship in the companies for the last three years i.e. if at any time during the last three years he ceased to be a director he/she should provide the details of cessation also.
DIR 8:

1. Notice of directorship in the companies during the last 3 years( including the ceased one).

2. Confirmation of not incurring any disqualification u/s 164(2) of the Companies Act, 2013.
FORM DIR-8 is filed for Intimation by Director of disqualification or non-disqualification and also intimation of companies in which he was director in last three years Pursuant to Section 164(2) and rule 14(1) of Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014

Does DIR 8 captures data of foreign companyin which director holds directorship or it is just an Indian companies?
