What if employer CA die during the period of articeship?

Dear All,

I was doing my articleship under CA Kishor Kathrani.

But unfortunately he died on 26th January, 2016.

My articleship was about to complete on 14th February, 2016. (Only 19 days left)

What should I do now? Please explain me the procedure, what to do in this situation?

Re-register under another CA for the remaining part of your article tenure, so as to complete your articleship training.

Do I need to take prior approval from Institute?

and what about the period I served under him?

I would suggest you to call up your branch or chapter, so that they will be able to confirm the exact procedure to be followed. The earlier the better for you, these are administrative procedures to be followed diligently by you, since just another few days of article training is left from your end.
