Dear Omi,
For example,
A question paper consists of 8 questions.
Out of that 8 question, 1st question is compulsory. Then you have to attend 6 questions among the remaining 7 questions.
This is what they meant in the announcement.
In addition, there is a possibility of having one internal choice in any of the 7 question.
1) The first two clauses in the announcement are applicable for all the subjects
2) As far as internal choice is concerned, it has been said that it will be given as far as possible. So, you can't depend on that.
Hope this is what you asked

Dear MRM
In the example given by you if student attempts all 7 questions out of 7, then whether
1. only first 6 will be evaluated or
2. All 7 will be evaluated and maximum 6 will be chosen for awarding of marks or
3. Any 6 will be evaluated
