Sales Order - Seller generated document that authorizes sale of the specified off-the-shelf item(s), issued after receipt of a customer's purchase order. It usually implies that there will be no additional labor or material cost incurred for the sale, except where it is used to initiate a production process.
Advice Note - A note sent to a customer by a supplier of goods to advise him that an order has been fulfilled.
