way bill / road permit requirement

Dear All,

Please Advice whether any self Declaration(containg material are for self consumption) made by a unregistered dealer from a state in which way bill / road permit is required is suffcient / valid ?

Such form is giving by the party on its letter head.

is there any exemption for the educational institute or Society ?

Normally sales tax dept. may not issue way bill / road permit to an unregistered dealer as they does not have TIN or cst no. So such trust / society should send declaration on his letter head as mentioned by you. Please counter check it with sales tax dept. of ur state as the rules differs from state to state.

There is a provision in all of the state laws in respect of unregistered dealer, as an seperate form is issued to them to for example - in Uttranchal Form - 11 is there, but the declaration made by the trust / society is still valid ? is it not against the state tax law ? even in past we also sent the material on such declaration.

Please guide as if such declaration is valid than why the casual trader concept is compiled by the state law ?

1. In which State or region Waybills are not reeqired at the time of materials despatch please mention details list .

2. The Waybill is required for House hold materils transfer from one State to another State

i agree with nitin jain. each state differs in asking their own way bill and road permit forms. but. for socities, unregistered firms etch have to send the materials on self-declaration about the nature of transaction.
