Hello CACLUB-INDIA members,
I had invested Rs 25000 in NSC on 18 march 2006.I like to know what is the interest rate
for NSC for the financial year 2007-2008 and what interest will be earned for financial year
2007-2008(April 2007-March2008) for amount Rs 25K invested in March 2006.
What is the interest rate for FY2006-2007 and 2007-2008.Thanks

As U have invested after 01.03.03, the interest rates for NSC would be in the following manner:
First year - Rs.8.16 for Rs.100 denomination
Second yr - Rs. 8.83 "
Third yr - Rs.9.55 "
Fourth yr - Rs.10.33 "
Fifth yr - Rs. 11.17 "
sixth yr - Rs.12.08 "
On Rs.25,000/- the interest amount for the F.Y. 2007-08 will be Rs.2208/-
