VIRTUAL OFFICE - PROBLEMS DURING GST REGISTRATION

SIR, 

WE ARE SPACE AND SERVICE PROVIDER FROM AHMEDABAD FOR VIRTUAL OFFICES. 

MOST OF OUR CLIENTS ARE START UPS, SMALL AND MEDIUM SCALE ENTERPRENEURS AND E COMMERCE OPERATORS FROM VARIOUS PART OF INDIA AND ABROAD.

WHEN THEY APPLY FOR GST REGISTRATION FOR GUJARAT, USING OUR AHMEDABAD ADDRESS, DURING THE SPOT VISIT BY THE GST DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS, THEY RAISED FOLLOWING OBJECTIONS : 

1. WE PROVIDE DESK ADMEASURING, 16 SQUARE FEET. GST DEPARTMENT SAYS THAT BUSINESS ACTIVITIES CAN NOT BE CARRY ON FROM THIS PLACE. THEY ASK ABOUT THE STOCK, THE PLAN LEY OUT AND SPACE FOR BOOKS OF ACCOUNTS AND OTHER BUSINESS ACTIVITIES. 

2. GST DEPARTMENT ASK FOR THEIR BOOKS OF ACCOUNTS, ORIGINAL KYC DOCUMENTS OF THE PROPRIETOR, PARTNERS, DIRECTORS OF THE ORGANISATION. WHEREAS MOST OF THE CLIENTS ARE HAVING THEIR REGISTERED OFFICE AT OUTSIDE THE GUJARAT. THEY PROVIDE US THE SCAN COPIES OF DOCUMENTS.

3. GST DEPARTMENT ASK FOR AUTHORISED REPRESENTATIVE BASED AT AHMEDABAD AND HE SHOULD BE AVAILABLE AS AND WHEN DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS CAME FOR SPOT VISIT. IT IS NOT VIABLLE FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM SCALE ENTERPRENURE TO APPOINT THEIR REPRESENTATIVE AT ALL THE PLACES WHEN THEY OPERATE IN MULTI STATE. THIS IS THE MAIN HURDLE AGAIST THE GOVERNMENT POLICY TO "EASE OF DOING BUSINESS".

WILL YOU PLEASE GUIDE US ABOUT THE LEGAL PROVISIONS IN GST  ABOUT VIRTUAL OFFICE IN CONTEXT TO OUR ABOVE MENTIONED QUERRIES ?
