Don't listen to newbie students. If you want to pass CA final with good marks, you can't rely on PM in every subject, especially DT and IDT. I had covered direct tax PM several times, those questions are too easy for me. But exam questions are considerably newer and harder, the examiner frames entirely new set of questions. Even if you forcibly match the provisions/case laws in exam questions to that in PM and RTP, it will be around 15-20 marks only.
In short, DO BUY question bank books of reputed authors like Vinod Gupta or Bhanwar Borana. Without these books, you won't be able to solve exam questions efficiently in time, even though you might be knowing the whole provisions. In DT, complete knowledge of provisions and rules is not enough to get good marks in exam, you need to practise a variety of practical questions to get good marks in DT.
