24 April 2013During vat regd in West Bengal (Dist. Hooghly) I have deposited Rs. 25000/- as security deposit. The officer told me that it will adjusted after two years against vat payable by me on that time. Now I want to know can mentioned that SD amt. in my VAT return. If yes, then in which column. Pls help.

Dear Subhajit,
In my opinion, SD could not be adjustable with VAT output. It can be claim after 2 years seperately. on that time your VAT liability should be NIL in all aspect.
