19 June 2010Is it mandatory to get registered for claiming refund of VAT or WCT or it can be taken with registration under service tax.......what is the proceedure for claiming refund...do we have to to file any return..??

you have to be registered under VAT to claim refund.

First u can take Registration from Vat Dept and file Monthly Return,
Vat Refund Is apllicable for Export of ur goods or intersatate sale then only ur input vat will be Cumilative otherwise . if u r local seller u can utilise the same to out put vat .this refund application once in a quter or half yearly

if Input VAT credit of last two years is standing in B/s can we get registered & file their return this year & claim refund...IS IT POSSIBLE..???
If no then how should I treat it....can we write it off in P&L.....is it allowed as deduction for income tax purpose...??
