In Maharashtra the TIN Numers ar PAN based and hence u canot have more than one TIn on the same Assessee as per hsi PAN

yes mahesh is right.....it is the same in karnataka too.

he can have more than one tin no only if it is under a differnt business name.

incase the assessee has his business(branches) in different states , then he has to have particular tin no. for that particular  branch.

this is what i know about it....hope it has helped you in some way

regards

TIN No. are depends on the state in which your trading / manufacturing unit is situated. If company is having more than one unit in single state than transaction of all unit will be under single Registration No.

But if Assessee's units are spread in more that one state, that for each state he has to apply for separate TIN No.

plz explain me about VAT,TDS AND SERVICE TAX....
