10 January 2011Their is one dealer (distributor) who sell the moblile recharge & sim card, his business turn over more than 70 lack. but he is selling in mumbai city only which telecome company provided by him to sell only retailer. tell me that he can registered under vat no. or not.

regarding mobile business, its based on distributor / franchise commission only, all the service tax / vat complience is done by principal company only, as the MRP is fixed by company itself, he cant add values over it,
advised to read the agreement between the company and the principal.

Sir,
Please clarify the rate of tax on Nutritional Food Supplement
relating to Eyes under APVAT Act,2005. I hope it is taxable at
14.5% not covered by Ch.30 of Central Excise Tariff Act
-not a drug&Medicine.
Please clarify.
