i have just started a pharmaceutical company in delhi.
i will be purchasing my medicine from either uttrakhand or himachal and sell it in delhi.
for this will i require a vat no. or cst no. or both?

you have to get registered under vat and cst both
If you want to avail the concessional rate of CST by issuing c form to the party, you must have CST certificate and therefore both VAT and CST is required and get yourself registered under both Act.
