Is sale of a machine from kolkata to siliguri liable for VAT or CST?

CST is applicable for interstate sale for taxable commodity. So, within the state of W.Bengal, only local VAT is applicable. If your machinery is meant as capital goods to the siligury buyer, that VAT is applicable at lower rate. Please check.
