If a foreign Vendor want to sale electric items in an exhibition in Delhi.
its his first sale,he is not registered in any VAT law.
What is the implication in VAT for such sale of goods.

The vendor would be liable to pay VAT in the State in which the sales would be effected by registering with the appropriate authority of that State.

Thanks.. but vendor has arrived India with goods on port.
Isn't there any exemption limit for first sale in DVAT & any special registration procedure (seasonal) for such vendors.

although DVAT registration is necessary ... but the thershold limit for DVAT Reg is 10 lac.... that means if the sale does not exceed 10 lac no need of registration.... and in case it exceed 10 lac then within 30 days from the date on which sale exceed 10lac, registration should be done.
