No you should ask for a revised invoice stating the value of goods, VAT charged and all.

As per my knwoldge If suplier has not shown bifercation of vat and taxable amount in the invioce, we can't take input tax credit on this invoice amount because we don't know whether suplier has paid as a out put tax to the govt or taken all amount as a taxable amount.
