15 April 2009I got vat registration in Delhi in the m/o March09 after cst sales made during this month however I purchased material locally by paying VAT in the m/o Dec.08 and the some of in these material sold in Mar.09. The effective date of regn. is 7th of March'2009. Can I get vat input credit on it? Pls. reply with reason.

Its depend upon the type of invoice if it is VAT invoice then You can get vat input credit on purchase made in the m/o Dec' 08, If seller gave you a retail invoice then you can't get vat input credit.
GSTR 9 and 9C for FY 23-24 as amended by Notification 12/2024 dated 10th July 2024(with recording)
