Vat - chennai online query

Hello All,

 

Need help in paying VAT for Jan 2012 Month online. I have computed VAT Payable by the client and taken Cheque, so what I have to do next inorder to get acknowledgement online ?

1. I have User ID and Password for tnvat (Tamilnadu VAT)

2. After logging in I have selected Monthly returns option

3. Then I selected Form 1 option from the left hand side list.

4. Next I have selected Year and Month, TIN number already appearing, so clicked on submit.

5. Automatically details of the client came with respect to that TIN number, then I have entered the sales value under this head  ------->      "2. GROSS amount received or receivable by the dealer during the Period in respect of sales of goods"

(My client has only sales in Tamilnadu, so is the above option correct ?)

6. There are no purchases made by him in the month of January 2012 and I saved that Form1 and proceded forward

7. Then Appendix form i filled the following details

TIN : 33410864039  Year : 2012  Month : 01
  
Name of the Commodity :  
Commcdity Code :
Rate of Tax :  
Taxable Turnover :
Tax Due :
Tax Collected :
   
   

then i saved it.

8. Then what i have to do next ?

9. Is last date of payment is 20th of every month in Chennai for VAT ?

 

Please explain me how to proceed next.
