We are in Hotel Business in Karnataka state, we purchased A C Cooler System Machinery parts from Andhra pradesh. The Vendor charged Vat 14.5% on mahcinery parts.
My question is we can claim input tax in Karnataka or Not???????
Am awaiting for ur valuable replies.........

No, You cannot claim Input tax rebate as that is an interstate purchase and you have not paid VAT to Karnataka State, but paid to Andhra Pradesh.
