Validating Bank account on E filling data

I am uanble to validate Bank account data on Income tax portal 26 AS Data.

Account holder and assesses Name is same in PAN card , Aadhaar Card and Bank account data.

Even though 26 AS Income portal is not validating the bank account for refund & showing Status and massages as belows:

"Account Holder name invalid".

"Refund cannot be credited on account with status 65. please add valid bank account. EVC cannot be unable for this account".

Please advice what is the meaning of this massage and what should be corrective action according to this massage to validate the account.

Grievance raised on income tax portal but still unanswered after 15 days.

Upon return filing Refund will not came.

Please advice.

Can you elaborate, are you trying to validate bank account for the first time? what has 26 AS to do with Bank account validation? Is your name and other details matching with the Portal? is your aadhar and PAN linked?

Yes. After New portal launched.

My Dena bank become BOB now so I tried to link BOB bank data with 26 AS. But couldnot succeed.

Earlier letter A missing in Middle name of asseessee.

So corrected all database PAN, Aadhaar Data after 2 months long efforts for seeding.

Now Bank account and PAN and Aadhaar has same and correct name and data base.

But in 26AS efilling data still, A is missing in middle name. So 26 as data has not upadated/seeded from PAN and aadhaar data by site.

Now during validation above massage showing.

So raised grivannce to upadate 26 AS data which is not corrected till date and I m unable to validate the account.

From what I understand, change has not reflected in the portal. despite making necessary corrections in PAN. 26As picks data from PAN. In your case Change has not reflected as yet. I suggest you call the help desk and escalate the matter if not done yet. If so, please take up the matter in person with your AO Or submit grievance at ASK. It is mandatory to have same name, mobile no. and e mail ID in Bank and your portal for validation. Trust that has been taken care of.

1. You need to update the bank account holder name as per PAN.

2. re-kyc process shall be done by providing latest form and pan copy with the bank.

3. the bank officer shall feed the data and one other officer shall verify the same.

4. both old and new portal picks the data verification on realtime basis, so you can revalidate your account at evening and if still unmatched, visit the bank the next day to follow up.

There may be mismatch in pan and bank account details e.g. name, date of birth. Try to add other bank account

I have updated First Aadhaar and then PAN name month back as corrected.

And name in all 3 bank account is correct name the only issue is to club PAN data with bank account.

I had requested bank by providing all new data of PAN and Adhar again personally yesterday.

Bank said they they have to expedite with NPCI as some massagecoming in their system.

I don't know npci and bank says they will expedite with npci.

Many banks may not have opened or provided their APIs for the new income tax portal to validate the bank account.

If the income tax department was not validating the bank accounts till last year which we entered in excel utility, so then why are they asking validation of bank accounts on new tax portal? And why is the validation required for the tax return filing step? And why all bank accounts are required to be validated if refund is going to come in only one account?

Why should there be so many unanswered questions on a new income tax portal when everything was working smooth and fine on the old portal?

Yes most of the banks have not only opened or provided for Everification but some bank who has provided also requires that the email registered in Bank Account and in Income tax portal should be identical else it is giving error and not allowing..

Any experiences to the contrary?

You are right, the mobile number and email id should be the same in the portal as well as the bank. In the case of banks not integrated with NPCI validation may take time.
