Padhuka is the best. V.K Agrawal is sufficient to clear the examination but sometimes involves entailing a risk which can't be afforded in the present day examination scenario. Still if you're going for both groups this MAY 2010...go for V.K Agrawal and if going for just 1 group....go for Padhuka.

Hi Sudhir,
Buy any book.Its good.
If you have time, go for Padhukas. However, Priya is right to some extent.Padhukas has been lifted from the Study material for this subject to a great extent. It is comprehensive and exhaustive, though and requires time and patience to complete it.You have an advantage of RTPs,Past exam questions in it.So in a way Padhukas is superior to most study materials inasmuchas combining the comprehensiveness of studymaterials and also including question-answer format from exam perspective.
Vinod Agarwal is a concise notes format(Even Kamal Garg is like this) and might help you if you are hard-pressed for time. However, you have to be thorough in it.
Buy Auditing Standards from D.S.Rawat or Snowwhite publications or the like. This has to be read in addition to the main subject notes.
Read my articles(in articles section) and postings in forum.I will cover one by one each subject and this might help you in your journey to complete this course.
Best wishes,
Mythreya

Roshni- Sorry to say, you lack disrespect for others too. You haven't answered the question either.
Padhuka's is exhaustive. Perfect word. That is what it intends to be. Why can't it be based on the Institute material that most of us never touch anyway. It covers Insti, past papers and RTPs. Just everything you need in one book. There is no race for originality here. Every book tries to get some coverage on past questions and institute material questions.

Paduka is good provided you should start early. Once you finish this book you don't need to look at Compilation, Study Material, Previous RTPs because it covers everything and the presentation is beautiful.
However, if you are starting this subject during your study leave then better go with V.K.Agarwal. Even i have seen students who scored 60+ in this subject by referring V.K.Agarwal but they had done good audit assignment during articles.
Getting good marks in this subject specially at Final level also depends on your practical knowledge.
