Hello Members,

Digital Music Notebook is interactive music software from Yamaha. With this program, you can purchase and download sheet music from the built-in online store. You can then change the tempo of the music and see exactly how to play the music on a keyboard or guitar. For singers, you can also view the lyrics and chords for karaoke. The software is completely free and even comes with a few free songs to try.

1. Download and install Digital Music Notebook and then open the application.
2. Understand how My Homepage works. This is your main page. From here you can view the User Guide, see Recently Previewed and Played music and see Top Selling Titles and Lessons. Recent site announcements are listed as well.
3. Open the My Library Tab. This tab lists all titles you’ve downloaded. You can click any title to load it in the player. You can also click the View Store button to go directly to the store to purchase more titles. The icons under Action let you know more about the features of the title such as keyboard sync and add to cart
4. Choose a title from the Library. This will open the player. You can open the player at any time from the Player tab.The Player tab allows you to view and play the selected title. The two red buttons at the top left of the Player window allow you to turn the metronome and counter on and off. The buttons to the right of the red buttons allow you to choose which parts of the title are played.
5. Add in windows for keyboard, guitar or karaoke. Go to Tools at the top of the screen and click which tool or tools you wish to use. The keyboard tool allows you to change which parts of the title are actually played on the keyboard and gives you a lesson grade if you have a real keyboard connected. The guitar tool shows you how to play the current chord and the upcoming chord on the fret board of a real guitar. You can choose how the chord would look with a capo and what key you want the song played in. You can also choose if the chords are displayed high or low on the fretboard. The karaoke tool works exactly like a typical karaoke player. However, chords are displayed with the words. This is good for helping singers recognize chords and notes for sight singing.
6. Click the Store tab. This tab opens the Digital Music Notebook store. From here you can browse for lessons and titles to purchase and download. Free titles are available from the Free Downloads link at the top of the Store window.

Best Regards,
