YES TAILORING SERVICES IS LIABLE TO SERVICE TAX AS IT IS NOT MENTIONED IN NEGATIVE LIST OR MEGA EXEMPTION. IF THE SERVICES ARE UPTO THE 10 LACS LIMIT YOU HAVE TO PAY SERVICE TAX. TAILORING SERVICE SHOULD COME UNDER FASHION DESINING

If the Services are below 10 Lacs Why we need to pay tax? I think there is the error in the reply it should be "if the service are above 10 lacs you have to pay service tax".
