Hi ..

I am Akhil , an article asistant from sambalpur (odhisha).

My dad has recently got transferred to bilaspur(chattisgarh).my articleship will continue till Aug 2017.and i will stay here itself.in pg or hostel...and do not wana take transfer from here.As i will no longer be having any permanent address here..can i give my new address of bilaspur ,where my parents r going as permanent address and i will stay here in sambalpur.

plz guide..is it ok to do articleship at some place and give address of my parents ...as that will be my permanent address henceforth.

Permanent address: Bilaspur (Parents address)

Correspondence address: Sambalpur (Hostel/PG address)
.
Both the addresses can be different. You will receive all the communications from ICAI on the Sambalpur address.

Greetings, I have tax and law books applicable for may 2015 ipcc exam...wanted to know if the same is applicable for Nov 2015 ipcc exam. Wanted to know about amendments in group 2 accounts, ipcc( already have books applicable for may 2015) .

-> Tax and Law books applicable for May’15 exams will also be relevant for Nov’15 exams as well.

-> For May’15 exams amendments in Tax and Law paper reported up to 31.10.2014 were applicable whereas for Nov’15 exams amendments reported up to 30.04.2015 will be applicable.

-> Hence, you may use the books applicable for May’15 exams and do the amendments issued between 01.11.2014 – 30.04.2015 from RTP, as and when issued by the ICAI. However, amendments won’t be much.

-> For CA-IPC G2 Adv. Accounting paper, ICAI has withdrawn ‘Electricity Companies’ chapter from the syllabus w.e.f. Nov’15 exams and onwards [link].

-> For Auditing paper, CARO 2015 will be applicable [Download Padhuka Notes].
