will cash paid to customers for returns have any impact on debtor ledger adj. a/c?

the entry would be sales return dr. to cash??

It will be better to do entry through debtor a/c.

Route this transaction through debtors a/c... Sales Return A/c Dr To Debtor's A/c

but still the net effect in debtor ledger adjustment account would be zero?..as first the debtor would be credited with the amount and then debited?
