269ss & 269t are applicable in case of loans... an employee can claim HRA any amount but one has to provide pan number of Landlord in case the total rent payments exceeds Rs. 100000 in a year..

269ss nd 269t about loans not about rent . .employee claim any amount as rent as paid
Is in case of Individual and HUF not under 44AB Tax Audit during last year may skip deducting TDS but in other cases TDS has to be deducted?
rohit she is talking about an employee.. an employee does not run a business..and not liable to deduct TDS..

but section 40 a 3 does not allow payment of more than rs 20,000 in cash as rent paid on single day. so is rent payment allowed.

nopes..Even rent payment is also disallowed u/s 40a(3)

if its for business

For personal or salaried, its allowed

section 40(a)3 is covered under PGBP.. so i dont think that in case of employee paying his residential rent 40a3 will be applicable

No..I can't stay in such house whose rent more than Rs.20000.
