sir, i believe rates change depending on what contract is undertaken. 2% in some cases and 4% in some.

Dears For VAT---(2/4 % see if sales tax registration certificate is produced by contractor-2% otherwise 4% Service Tax-- Calculate the amount of service provided separately (like Machine service, or labour)and then 10.36% TDS-1/2%(Consider Individual or company..more details refer 194C)
and i want to ask ...what kind of stone u r cutting..so i csn provide more details...information...thnkx.

for an individual contractor, isnt it 1% TDS??? and service tax i believe is 12.36% and not 10.36%
