iam going to file st 3 return related to fin yr 2010-2011 in 1st week of nov 2013 , in this case what is the penalty for delay filing return
is it rs 2000 or rs 20000
reply me asap it is v v v urgent !

Urgent ! penalty for late filing st 3 return

Till 2011 the maximum penalty for not filing of the return is Rs.2000/- as it was the maximum penalty as per section 70 of the Finance Act 1994. The penalty was enhanced from Rs.2000 to Rs.20000 w.e.f 08.04.2011.
