Discontinuance is not the solution. Its true that passing exam is your priority. But discontinuance is not the solution. I think you should start your preparation from today and try to spend 2 to 3 hours per day on your subjects. This will help you study and prepare within the given leave of 1.5 month.

The idea of discontinuance is not correct.  start ur preparations from today onwards. if ur attempt is in MAY 09 then there are approx. 5 months remaining out of which 1.5 months leave u will get.  So u have 3.5 months just now before leave. so if u r not sure whether u will be able to prepare for both the groups, then prepare for only one group and appear for that. I will suggest that u try to prepare for both the groups and appear for them in the forthcoming attempt.  But it is suggested here that don't keep a condition that u have to clear in the first attempt itself. I am not negative in this regard but i want u to concentrate on appearing in both the groups well.  if u constantly think that i have to pass both the groups in first attempt, then it will increase ur burden.  So rather keep ur mind focus on ur preparation and appear well in exams and let the god decide the result.  Result is not in our hands but yaa the preparation and giving the exams well is ofcourse in our hands.  So be very very positive and don't think so much and don't take so much tension and pressure.

dont get tensed.plz make an introspection about ur preparation till date. u got good time to prepare.make sure that ur leavin ur office early in the evening may be by 5.30 to 6 pm atleeast.

get a scanner and analyse the level of preparation subject wise. plz concentrate on theory topics  in accounts, costing, Income tax(read the law  rather than soloving no of problems).

Suggested for last 8-10 attempts clearly covered.

Instt material .

RTP (2-3) attempts.

all theory topics,Chapters from compulsory questions are asked.Miscellaneous topics(V.imp)

Make an ABC analysis of chapters subject wise.

daily study for 3 hrs

more than enough .

Lastly avoid outstation audits, time consuming, carry a small book read it regularly if possible.

as my advice says....go to ur boss and ask him to give some more leave time to study...if not...then try to make ur office timing adjsutment....and leave early from office...so to sit for studies....that means cut ur office hours and study yaar.....easy...

why to be so tense for this....relax and concentrate on study...okay.....
